Robert Blair (Arvada HS) was not only the recipient of a Columbine Memorial Scholarship, but also received a Dee Reed Scholarship from Jeffco Schools Foundation and others; shown with proud parents, Warren and Maren Blair.
The Columbine Memorial Scholarship Fund was founded by the Rocky Mountain News and Jeffco Schools Foundation and is administered by The Denver Foundation using contributions received from individuals, families, and businesses following the tragic events at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999.
As a legacy and in memory of the twelve students and one teacher that died that day, the Columbine Memorial Scholarships were established. The following honorees received 2015 Student Awards ($2,200): Robert Blair (Arvada High School), Robbyn Gimm (Ralston Valley High School), Olivia Greenwood (Columbine High School), Jacquelyn Miller (Wheat Ridge Senior High School), Sabrina Pacha (Standley Lake High School), Emily Redmon (Columbine High School), Madison Reuter (Columbine High School), Donovan Rice (Golden Senior High School), Bridget Snow (Columbine High School), Emily Tran (Alameda International High School), Danielle Valerio (Dakota Ridge High School) and Joelle Walker (Columbine High School)
A 2015 Teacher Award ($1,500) was given to Carolyn LaPlant (Lakewood High School.)
