Mike Faughnan (also an alumnus of Arvada HS) and Cathy Faughnan present the 2015 Chris Faughnan Memorial Scholarship to Sherleen Tran and Leighanne Gray during a recent awards presentation.
A proud alumnus of Arvada High School, Chris Faughnan was also a 37 year old father of three, who believed we should strive to leave the world better than the way we found it. He was also a successful bond broker who perished at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
His legacy is the Chris Faughnan Memorial Scholarship, which was established by his family at Jeffco Schools Foundation in his name. The scholarship is presented each year to graduating Arvada High School students.
This year’s $4,000 Chris Faughnan Memorial Scholarship was presented to Sherleen Tran and Leighanne Gray.
